Location
In the district of Faro and the Province of Huelva, joined since 1991, the Municipality of Castro Marim and the Municipality of Ayamonte.
Lengh
Work on special structures is being conducted on a stretch of the IP1 between km 131+830 and km 132+950, with a length of approximately 1,120 m.

Âmbito da Intervenção

This work involves: replacement of the bridge’s tensioning rod system and improvement of its behavior by wrapping the rods in a casing; installing cushioners on the longer rods and adjusting the respective force; general rehabilitation of reinforced concrete items in both structures; rehabilitation of the stops and support devices and replacement of those which are most degraded; rehabilitation of the curtain face of sheet piling and beams above the low tide level; general improvement of hydraulic drives; pavement milling and waterproofing of deck; bituminous surface treatment on roads, the respective horizontal and vertical signage; rehabilitation of road lighting and the installation of instruments for the future monitoring/maintenance of the bridge. This work will improve the structural safety of the bridge and the roadway.
