Railway Stations

REFER manages a network of 928 stations, 474 of which have passenger and/or goods services, ensuring the provision of services to the railway transport clients.

Due to the characteristics of the National Railway Network, stations are divided into four types based on passenger traffic, rail services provided, intermodal level and services provided to the station clients/users.

Railway stations are increasingly becoming open spaces and incorporate commercial components which offer passengers/clients a set of services and facilities in which accessibility, functionality, comfort and safety are key factors.
